The Netherlands Red Cross

The Nederlandse Rode Kruis helps people in distress, regardless of who and where they are. We work in conflict and disaster areas and offer immediate relief. The Red Cross was established in 1867, and is part of the world's biggest independent aid network, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Volunteers play a central role in the Red Cross. Some 108 million volunteers around the world devote their time and skills to the Red Cross. We are convinced that everyone has the right to be respected and live in dignity; that people in distress should be the first to receive aid; that their religion, nationality, race, origin or political beliefs are not important.
