Development Works Theo Kiewiet

‘Development Works Theo Kiewiet’ is a small productive set-up with strong results.
The organization has been successfully combating extreme poverty in regions of Africa and Asia from its home base on Ameland since 1989. The local partner organizations' main areas of focus are: effectively combating malaria, digging wells and installing pumps for irrigation in order to guarantee long-term self-sufficiency in food security, providing biogas for free for 25 years, guaranteeing income for women's groups and building an earthquake-proof school. Adage: The fight against poverty is key to a stable and sustainable world, where people can live healthily and productively in harmony with nature. All of the work in the Netherlands is pro bono and paid out of its own funds; in Africa and Asia work is carried out at minimum cost. Like knows like on a world scale!
