Drive Against Malaria

Drive Against Malaria

"Drive Against Malaria" (DAM) was established in 1998. This humanitarian organization is managed by David M. C. Robertson (UK) and Julia E. Samuël (NL). DAM is committed to fighting malaria in Africa and focuses primarily on preventive aid and giving children and pregnant women in risk areas the chance to recover from malaria.

DAM focuses on the distribution of LLITNs (long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets), ACTs, malaria supporting tools, such as microscopes, diagnostic tests, impregnating agents, emergency maintenance allowance, education and counseling. We provide direct assistance to the local population and aid stations in close collaboration with local staff. The waning attention for malaria must be given new impetus by raising awareness among the locals, the local governments, western governments and the international media.

DAM works exclusively with volunteers. Operations are supported by Dutch companies such as LandRover Nederland, ExxonMobil, Tropicare, Trimedia, Ernst&Young, AccountView, Sony, Vestergaard Frandsen, and many others.
