Who we work with
Implementation partners
Malaria No More! Netherlands does not have a presence in Africa, but has collaboration agreements with implementation partners. These are non-governmental organizations in the Netherlands and Africa that have extensive experience fighting malaria in Africa. All of the Dutch organizations implement effective malaria interventions in close cooperation with both local governmental and non-governmental organizations. Malaria No More! funds the projects the allocation committee recommends.
Sponsor partners
Sponsor partners are organizations that help Malaria No More! fight malaria in Africa in a number of ways. Their contribution can consist of raising awareness about malaria among their own staff and/or customers. Sponsor partners can also put their core competency at the disposal of one of Malaria No More!'s internal or external projects, sponsor a specific malaria project in Africa (in kind or with money) or support the charity financially.
Network partners
Malaria No More! Netherlands also interacts with organizations that actively raise awareness about malaria, raise funds for malaria interventions and fund malaria projects. Malaria No More! works with these network partners to stay on top of malaria-related developments and to join forces to raise awareness and coordinate who is doing what where.
Media partners
Media partners help Malaria No More! Netherlands with marketing, communication and PR activities, as well as with public awareness campaigns and events.
Ambassadors
Ambassadors are people who spread Malaria No More!'s message, an activity that does not require celebrity status! Joining social networks such as Hyves, Twitter, Myspace, LinkedIn and Facebook enables the malaria message to spread like a virus, for example, by inviting friends and/or colleagues to join Malaria No More!'s networks. Twitter about malaria and what you can do to prevent and cure it, create a buzz, promote the games, take part in an existing discussion or start your own discussion.
If you're interested in becoming an ambassador, send us an e-mail or call us at +31-(0)294-29 15 12.
Donors
Malaria No More! Netherlands cannot continue its work without donors. The best way to support Malaria No More! is by setting up a standing order and donating a fixed sum of money. Alternatively, you can transfer a fixed sum to Malaria No More! at set periods, or authorize us to directly debit your account for a fixed amount at specific intervals.
You can become a donor for as little as €40 a year. For €40, 4 mosquito nets can be hung up where they're needed and protect 12 lives against malaria for 5 years.
Malaria No More! has had the pleasure of receiving a sizeable donation (over €5,000) from various organizations and private individuals. Fred Matser, chairman and founder of Malaria No More! Netherlands, is the main sponsor. The foundation would not be able to carry out its work without these donors, to whom we are very grateful. With their consent, their donations are used to fund malaria projects in Africa, raise awareness, support the organization or a combination of all three. These donors wish to remain anonymous. If you or your company are able to donate a fixed sum of money, send us an email or call us at +31-(0)294-29 15 12.
Volunteers
Volunteers are very important to Malaria No More! Netherlands. They take part in public awareness campaigns in the Netherlands and they assist the charity in many different ways. Leonie Schakel does secretarial work for the allocation committee and Julia Schipper moderated the charity's Hyves page. Our information stand also needs to be staffed at festivals and sponsor activities: Els Teeuwen, Anouk Hermans and Mary Anne Ooyen regularly represent the foundation.
We are always looking for people who are interested in representing Malaria No More! as advisor for sponsor activities and who are interested in organizing a sponsor campaign.
If you would like to become a volunteer for Malaria No More! Netherlands send us an email or call us at +31-(0)294-29 15 12.
