Numerous campaigns around Christmas and the New Year
In the run-up to Christmas, a number of organizations have organized sponsor campaigns for the benefit of Malaria No More! Netherlands. For example, the Vossius Gymnasium in Amsterdam dedicated their Winter Concert to Malaria No More, children in the new council Stichtse Vecht raised money by singing and the Indonesian take-away De Witte Tijger in Waalwijk will be donating a part of the proceeds of every sold Christmas rice table to fighting malaria.
And on 27 December, Augustina Austin will announce that she will use her Face of Ghana title to promote Malaria No More and the fight against malaria. Fantastic initiatives for which we would like to thank you on behalf of everyone living in malaria-infected areas. Everything we're doing is worthwhile - we are making progress! If you would like your club or school to promote our charity and help fight malaria, send an email to office@malarianomore.nl. Positive developments in the fight against malaria
The WHO World Malaria Report 2010 confirms that we are on the right track. More and more people have access to the right drugs and protective measures, such as insecticide-treated mosquito nets and indoor residual spraying. This has considerably reduced the number of people who are suffering from malaria as well as the number of malaria deaths. We now have to carry on at full speed while continuing to be on the lookout for the development of resistance. This is something we have always focused on in our projects and will continue to focus on. More….. What does 2011 have in store for us?
Next year, we will run a number of activities and campaigns that will involve the Dutch population in the fight against malaria. We hope that this will enable us to support more projects in Africa and continue the positive developments. You should be hearing and a seeing a lot of us! There are different ways in which you can easily contribute to the fight against malaria, for example, by donating your Flying Blue Airmiles or making a donation to account number 56.10.25.312.
For € 10, you can protect the lives of three children against the deadly malaria mosquito. |
