2011 - October: Organisation Malaria No More! NL
We would like to tell you about the changes we’ve made in the organisation.
We are sad to announce the end of Fred Matser's chairmanship. Fred set up Malaria No More! in 2006 with the verve and inspiration he is so renowned for. He has led and given the organization direction ever since.
2011 - April: What are you doing on 25 April – World Malaria Day?
This year, World Malaria Day falls on Easter Monday, 25 April. To raise people's awareness about malaria, we will be draping the Euromast in Madurodam with a mosquito net on Good Friday.
2011 - March: Malaria in Dutch schools
Lessons and activities on fighting malaria: Malaria may be a dreadful and deadly disease, but children know about mosquitoes and can actually imagine that sleeping under a mosquito net helps prevent getting bitten.
2010 - December: Face of Ghana to kick off her projects after Christmas
Numerous campaigns around Christmas and the New Year: on 27 December, Augustina Austin will announce that she will use her Face of Ghana title to promote Malaria No More and the fight against malaria.
2010 - October: The fight against malaria starts under the mango tree
Rectangular mosquito nets are a bad idea: Malaria No More! Netherlands (MNM) has been supporting the work of the Ameland-based Theo Kiewiet Foundation and the Pioneer Self Help Group Bulechia in the region of Shibinga (West Kenya) since January 2009.
2010 - September: Malaria No More! Netherlands appoints new director
On 1 September 2010, Diederik Slot took over as director of Malaria No More! Netherlands from Arjan Erkel. Diederik is no stranger to charity: he managed the IMC Weekend School and was director of Skanfonds. Diederik will focus on raising funds that will enable Malaria No More! to help prevent and treat malaria.
2010 - May: Amsterdam startled by 10,000 malaria mosquitoes
On April 25, World Malaria Day, Arjan Erkel got everyone's attention when he unveiled an advertising display at Koningsplein in Amsterdam filled with 10,000 malaria mosquitoes. But by the time the malaria mosquitoes provided by Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre had reached Amsterdam, they were all dead, apparently as a result of the print ink on the poster.
2010 - April: KLM AirCares cares about fighting malaria
In April, May and June 2010, KLM's AirCares programme will support the fight against malaria by promoting Malaria No More and one of its projects in Tanzania and enabling passengers to donate money or Flying Blue Miles.
2009 - December: Encouraging Christmas and New Year Wishes
Last year, Malaria No More! Netherlands was able to support another four projects in Africa, enabling many Africans across the continent to protect themselves against malaria.
In the Netherlands, 2009 will end with SeriousRequest, a super project by Dutch radio station 3FM. Three DJ's spend six full days in a house of glass raising awareness about malaria and funds to fight it. Go for it guys!
2009 - October: Round Table supports us
Round Table Netherlands is a club for men between 25 and 40 years of age, and is represented across the country with 193 active tables and some 3,200 members. The club aims at promoting friendship and contributes to the personal development of its members. In addition, Round Table Netherlands carries out service projects by contributing to society. We are very pleased that Round Table Netherlands has decided to join forces with us and help us fight malaria. Round Table International, through its member countries, is considering MNM as a possible project to support.

2009 - April: Arjan Erkel new director
Recently Arjan Erkel was appointed director of Malaria No More! Netherlands. He replaces Henk-Jan van Hees, who will continue to work with the foundation as advisor. The board is thrilled that Arjan Erkel has decided to contribute his invaluable experience to Malaria No More! Netherlands five years after his abduction in Dagestan where he was country manager for Médecins Sans Frontières.
2008 - December: Peter Hodes takes part in Tour d'Afrique
Malaria No More! received 16 project proposals in response to its second special allocation round. Following careful consideration, we chose malaria interventions submitted by the Fobang Foundation, Development Works Theo Kiewiet and Cordaid Memisa. You can read more about these organizations and the supported projects on our website.
2008 - August: English website and second Allocation Round
We are pleased to announce that the English version of our website is online at www.malarianomore.eu. You can navigate between the Dutch and English websites by clicking on the flags at the top right of each page. The English website will enable us to reach even more people.
