Indonesian take-away De Witte Tijger helps fight malaria
The Indonesian take-away De Witte Tijger in Waalwijk will be starting its Malaria No More! campaign on Christmas day. For every rice table you order at De Witte Tijger, the Indonesian take-away will donate € 0.75 to the Dutch charitable organization Malaria No More. Starting January 2011, De Witte Tijger will donate € 0.50 of each rice table sold to
Malaria No More to help put a stop to malaria. Thanks to the collaboration with Wilde Ganzen, the amount raised will be augmented.
Why is De Witte Tijger supporting the Dutch charity Malaria No More?
'If you've seen with your own eyes how deadly malaria is (an uncle in Indonesia contracted malaria when he was a baby and died), you not only know that something has to be done about this disease, you feel deeply that something must be done about it. Contributing to Malaria No More! means helping prevent and cure a deadly disease that can be prevented and treated. We cannot save our uncle, but together with you, we can do something for others. So on behalf of the De Witte Tijger team, thank you!' is how owner Marlon Davidson explains his reason to support Malaria No More!
