Rotary Club Haarzuylens’s Third Tour Unlimited Rally
Rotary Club Haarzuylens organized its third tour through the heart of the Dutch countryside on 30 May 2010. Some 50 teams set off in the morning from the picturesque castle of Haarzuilens. There were many different types of cars: classic cars, such as the legendary Jaguar E-Type, as well as sports cars and vintage cars. The tour wasn't about doing the best time, but about having fun and enjoying the ride.
There was more than enough time to mee
t like car fanatics during the start, the lunch at Ries van Leeuwen's Vauxhall museum in Harmelen and at ' 't Wapen van Haarzuylen' where the drivers met at the end of the tour.
This year, the organizers decided that the proceeds of the tour would go to the charity 'Malaria No More'. At the end of the afternoon, Kees van Beekum, chairman of Rotary Club Haarzuylens's rally commission, handed over a cheque to Arjan Erkel for € 3,000. A nice sum, which Wilde Ganzen augmented with a contribution of € 1,900.
