Pleincollege Van Maerlant in action for malaria

Students in their second year of secondary/pre-university education at Pleincollege Van Maerlant in Eindhoven organized an action week from 26 to 29 April for charity. The students were allowed to choose the charity they wanted to support. They could choose from World Wildlife Fund, Childsoldiers (a Red Cross initiative), Amnesty International, local projects in Tanzania, Nepal, Brazil and the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as malaria projects run by Malaria No More in Kenya.
First, the children were given information about the charity they chose. If they chose Malaria No More, they would learn everything about malaria and its eradication from films and a (preliminary) teaching package. The pupils collected money for the charity they chose by taking part in a sponsored run and selling all kinds of stuff at a charity market.
They collected € 1,123 for the project Malaria No More! Netherlands is running in Kenya. This includes Wilde Ganzen's contribution.
