Fun, delight, amusement and satisfaction in the name of a good cause on Queen's Day 2011 in Utrecht
The whole country enjoyed a sunny and warm Queen's Day this year. Live music and traditional Dutch games were played in villages and cities alike, and snacks, drinks and many other things were sold at the many street markets.
Utrecht, where Giel van Dam and his friends were at a stand full of stuff that others had left in front of their door for charity, was no exception: Their action was fun, delightful amusing and satisfying:
- Those who had given stuff were happy it could be put to good use;
- Giel and his friends have good memories of a tiring but really fun day with plenty of interesting encounters.
- The buyers had a great time buying clothes, books and knick-knacks.
- And last but not least, Malaria No More! who will use the € 800 to buy and distribute 80 mosquito nets to protect the lives of people living in malaria-infected areas.
To Giel and all the buyers and sellers in Utrecht: a very warm thank you for your hard work and donations!!
