Ghana celebrates Independence Day in the Netherlands on 5 March

Following a spectacular event last year that attracted some 700 visitors, Ghana Today Nederland is hosting this year’s Ghana Independence Day celebration. The celebration, which is supported by the Ghanaian embassy, will take place in The Hague on Saturday 5 March.

The Ghana Independence Day celebration will be a cultural event with music and dance, a fashion show, various performances, Ghanaian dishes, a quiz and much, much more. Everyone is invited to this event, preferably in African clothing.

Augustina Austin, Miss Face of Ghana Holland, will be one of the evening's presenters. She will also be collecting money for her Malaria No More! project.

Doors open at 6 p.m. on the second floor of 1e van de Kunstraat 292 in The Hague. The official part of the celebrations starts at 11 p.m., and then it’s time to party! Entry is free but you do have to be older than 18.
